Edukasi dan Pemberian Dark Chocolate sebagai Upaya untuk Mengatasi Nyeri Dismenore pada Remaja Putri

Many women experience menstrual problems, including pain during menstruation, known as dysmenorrhea. The pain of dysmenorrhea is the most common complaint and is experienced by many women. Dysmenorrhea is pain during menstruation, usually with cramping and centered in the lower abdomen. Dysmenorrhea can be divided into two groups, namely primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea is pain in the lower abdomen during menstruation without any abnormalities or disease in the pelvis. The percentage of dysmenorrhea around the world is more than 50% of women in each world experience it, including 15.8-89.5% with a higher prevalence rate reported at the adolescent level. One way that can be done to overcome dysmenorrhea is dark chocolate. The purpose of this service is to determine the effect of dark chocolate on reducing dysmenorrhea pain in young women. The location of community service is in the Islamic Boarding School in Cirogol Village, Serang Regency, Banten Province. The form of activity is to use the lecture method, and group discussion. The way it works is by preparing dark chocolate food and counseling materials about dysmenorrhea. The instrument for measuring the level of dysmenorrhea pain was using the NRS (Numeric Rating Scale) observation sheet. The results of the activity showed that counseling and giving dark chocolate could help students overcome dysmenorrhea pain naturally
